The world changed the, game changed, but we remained the same. when the first bombs fell and they rushed to the vaults not everyone made it to safety. And today's mod has A companion/quest that goes into a little detail with all that. Project Valkyrie A personal favourite of mine adds Valkyrie A prewar companion with one hell of A story to tell.
Project Valkyrie is A complex mod with A great story without giving spoilers I'll go into A bit of detail. Valkyrie is one of Four custom companions added to the game along with twenty quests, with a story that lets you finish the vanilla game in new ways. The custom companions come fully-voiced You meet each companion in the course of the adventure as you progress through the mod's main quest line. Use persuasion instead of violence to resolve disputes between factions (or vice versa), choosing who lives and who dies. The mod works regardless of what point in the game you're at or which factions you've sided with, You can play on a new save or any existing save. This is A big mod and the works well with a couple of others by the creator. be sure to check out their mod description page on the Nexus mod site all mods are free.
